OID4VP

OpenID for Verifiable Presentations is a protocol for requesting and presenting verifiable credentials, finalized in July 2025.

OID4VP enables relying parties to request and receive verifiable credential presentations from wallet users. Version 1.0 finalized July 2025.

Replaced Presentation Exchange with DCQL (Digital Credentials Query Language). 38 jurisdictions have selected OID4VP.

Works alongside OID4VCI to form the complete credential lifecycle for the eIDAS 2.0 EUDI Wallet ecosystem.
